Is Intelligent Design Science?

Yes, I believe that ID is science for the very reasons that Dr. Meyer pointed out in the video. The methods being used in ID research to analyze evidence are same methods used in other competing branches of science. The rules for defining science need to be consistently applied.

ID is not science.

As well stated on Wikipedia:

Advocates of intelligent design seek to fundamentally redefine science to accept supernatural explanations, arguing that intelligent design is a scientific theory under this new definition of science. The unequivocal consensus in the scientific community is that intelligent design is not science.

It is a shame that the educational system in the US is hampered by religious communities that find the foundation of their beliefs challenged by the advancement of scientific discovery. "Truth" indeed.
