Doing Apologetics For Yourself by Randy Everist

If you are an apologist, have you ever asked yourself why you do apologetics?  In this featured article, by Randy Everist of Possible Worlds, he writes:

"You see, too many of us, on too many occasions, are doing apologetics for ourselves. What do I mean by that? I mean that sometimes we aren’t in it for the glory of God—we’re in it for the glory of ourselves."

What about you?  Everist continues:

"...for a Christian apologist, a misplaced focus on oneself is a reflection of a prideful heart. There are some consequences to this. These consequences may also function as tests for you. Try to ask yourself if these things apply, and if they do, why?"
